No one reported injured after fire erupts in apartment on the second floor
Dubai: A newborn baby was rescued from a building where an apartment caught fire on Sunday, a Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson told Gulf News.
The fire happened in an apartment on the second floor of a building in the Discovery Gardens.
Firefighters evacuated everyone in the building as thick smoke seeped from the apartment and into corridors. They found the baby and his family in an apartment on the third floor of the building.
“It was a moderate fire that happened in a room inside the apartment. We controlled the fire and recorded no injuries. We rescued a newborn baby from the third floor with his family,” the spokesperson said.
No one was reported injured in the blaze.
The fire happened at 4:01pm and firefighters from Al Marsa station arrived at 4:09pm. Firefighters were able to put out the fire at 4:19pm and started cooling operations until 4:34pm, the Civil Defence spokesperson said.
