On Tuesday, Americans head to the polls for one of the most pivotal elections in recent history, deciding the next US president, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, and a third of the Senate.
But who’s in the lead? Are Democrats or Republicans on track to win the White House? Which party will claim control of Congress — the House and the Senate?
Our poll tracker compiles the most recent data from presidential polls.
Starting at midnight CET, Euronews will deliver live election results, providing real-time vote counts for Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as well as updates on the balance of power in Congress.
Voting will conclude first in states along the East Coast, with six battleground states closing their polls around 1:00 am CET.
When will the US election results be announced?
On election night, AP will count the votes and declare winners in nearly 7,000 races, delivering the results up and down the ballot, from president, governor, and Congress to local elections.
Typically, the election winner is announced on the night of the vote; however, in 2020, it took several days to tally all the ballots.
According to the early-vote tracker, more than 65 million Americans have so far cast their ballots either in person or by mail.
However, due to varying state regulations on vote processing, it may take several days to determine whether Donald Trump or Kamala Harris will be declared the president-elect.
