During the attack, one of the enemy missiles struck a five-story building, resulting in the deaths of four Ukrainian citizens. The missiles also targeted a warehouse that stored bottled water, including supplies earmarked for the needs of the Kherson region.

“Approximately 25 civilians were working in the warehouse. The water stored there was intended to be distributed throughout our state, including the Kherson region, to assist the victims of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station explosion,” Klymenko said.

The Minister of Internal Affairs further disclosed that seven people were found within the warehouse, one of whom was a 17-year-old. Additionally, three citizens are currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital.

Russia launched missile and drone attacks against several cities across Ukraine overnight.

Air raid sirens sounded in Kyiv at 2:45 a.m. but no missiles hit their targets.

City authorities said: “According to tentative reports, in their attack on Kyiv, the enemy used Kh-101/555 cruise missiles, traditionally launched by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea area.

“All enemy targets were detected and successfully destroyed by air defense forces in the airspace around Kyiv.”

In Kharkiv, civilian infrastructure was hit in a drone attack, said the city’s mayor Ihor Terekhov.

“According to initial reports, a utility company in the Kyivskyi district, as well as a warehouse in the Saltivskyi district got damaged.

“A fire broke out as a result of the explosion on the latter,” he said.

Air alerts were also sounded in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the neighboring Donetsk and Poltava regions.

The fresh wave of air attacks came after Ukraine claimed to have retaken several villages and made advances in its counteroffensive against Russian forces.

“The fighting is tough, but we are moving forward, this is very important,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday in his daily evening address.
