Over the past day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 20 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters and anti-aircraft missile systems.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, December 6, posted on Facebook.

“The Russian occupiers continue their armed aggression against our state, keep striking civilian infrastructure objects. They try to hold the temporarily captured territories, focus their efforts on restraining the actions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, reinforce defense lines and positions in the temporarily captured and occupied territories of Ukraine. In Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy continues to attack, actively using aviation to support the actions of its ground groups,” the report says.

Over the past day, the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled Russia’s attacks in the areas of Verkhniokamyanske, Bakhmut, Andriivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Kurdiumivka, Krasnohorivka settlements in Donetsk region.

In turn, the enemy does not stop shelling populated settlements and positions of units of the Armed Forces along the contact line, conducts aerial reconnaissance, continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian homes in violation of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war.

“Over the past day, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on critical and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. Residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and other regions of our country came under fire,” the General Staff emphasizes.

In particular, the enemy launched 70 Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-22, Kh-59, Kh-31P and Kalibr missiles on the territory of Ukraine. In total, the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 60 enemy missiles.

At the same time, the General Staff emphasizes, there is still a threat of enemy missile strikes on the energy system and critical infrastructure objects throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, over the past day, the enemy launched 17 airstrikes and 38 MLRS attacks.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remains unchanged, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected. The Republic of Belarus continues to support the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine, providing territory and airspace for launching missile and air strikes.

In Siversky direction, the enemy fired mortars and tube artillery at the settlements of Senkivka, Sosnivka, Cherhihiv region; Homelivske, Manukhivka, Oleksandrivka, Slavhorod, Sumy region.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to keep its troops in the border areas of Belgorod region. The areas of Volokhivka, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Strilecha, Ternova settlements in Kharkiv region came under tank, mortar, and barrel artillery fire.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy defends itself, opened fire from tanks, mortars and tube artillery on the areas of Berestove, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region; Makiivka, Nevske, Terny in Donetsk region. The enemy used army aircraft for strikes in the area of Kotliarivka settlement.

In Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the enemy focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive operations, trying to improve its tactical position. Twenty settlements, including Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, were struck with tanks and the entire range of artillery. The enemy attacked the areas of Spirne, Kamyanka, and Marinka settlements with aircraft.

The enemy holds the defense in Novopavlivka direction. The invaders fired different types of artillery at the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar and Prechystivka settlements in Donetsk region.

The enemy also holds the defense in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. The invaders used tanks and artillery to shell the areas of more than 16 settlements bordering the contact line, including Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne, Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region; Zolota Balka, Novosilka in Kherson region and Kherson city.

The missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit two command posts, eight personnel clusters, and an important enemy object over the past day.
