Russian invaders launched an airstrike on the town of Bakhmut in Donetsk region. A local school was completely destroyed, casualties have been reported.
“The occupiers fired on the town in the morning. Russian shells hit a school and an administrative building sheltering people. The school was completely destroyed. Four hundred children studied there before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
Police officers, rescuers, and explosives technicians work at the scene. Rubble is cleared away.
According to preliminary data, there are casualties.
Together with the Security Service of Ukraine, the investigators documented Russia’s war crimes under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, the Russian troops fired on seven localities in Donetsk region over the past 24 hours. As a result of the shelling, 43 civilian objects were destroyed.
