Why your real wage may decrease in 2021
Inflation is on the rise in Sweden, which means that real wages are expected to continue to start going down as we approach the end of the year, reports the TT news agency.
The CPIF (Consumer Price Index with fixed interest rate) hit a 3.1 percent inflation rate in October, according to Statistics Sweden.
TT writes that the real wage increase dropped to 0.5 percent in August, the lowest level in more than two years.

Child dies after ‘fall from great height’ in Stockholm

Two people have been arrested after two children were found seriously injured next to an apartment building in Hässelby, a suburb north-west of Stockholm. On Monday morning, police confirmed that one child had died and the other had life-threatening injuries.
“Two adults with a close relationship to the children were arrested during the night, but I cannot confirm what the relationship between the adults and the children was,” a police control room officer told The Local on Monday. He would not confirm reports in the Expressen tabloid that the children were pushed from the window, but said they were investigating the incident as suspected murder.

Swedish hospitals not prepared for another pandemic
Swedish hospitals would not be ready to face another pandemic, reports public radio broadcaster Sveriges Radio Ekot, citing a report by the Corona Commission.
All 29 infection clinics in Sweden told a survey that they had to carry a heavy load during the first stages of the coronavirus pandemic, including coping with pandemic plans that were not adapted to the situation, a shortage of protective equipment and cancelled surgeries due to there not being enough face masks.
Infection clinics told Ekot that the situation is under control today, but the report shows that there are still major shortcomings, for example a low number of hospital beds per capita.
