Al-Shabaab militants launch another vicious attack on Kenyan

– Al Shabaab militants have yet again attacked a town in Mandera – The militants burned two vehicles and captured another with its driver.
A police officer was killed in the ambush – The militants were 50 in number and arrived in three cars from Somalia – Police and KDF are in hot pursuit of the militants who were targeting a local police station Heavily armed al Shabaab militants attacked Lafey Sub-county headquarters in Mandera county on the morning of Thursday, August 3.
The militants burned two vehicles and made away with another and the driver of the vehicle. Reports reaching TUKO.co.ke indicate one police officer has been confirmed dead following the attack. Mandera county commissioner Fredrick Shisia confirmed the attack.

Police and the military are said to be in hot pursuit of the militants. These comes just hours after another group of the militants killed three people at Witu area in Lamu county.

As reported by TUKO.co.ke, the attack targeted a bus that was headed to Kipini area in Lamu. The militants opened fire at the bus, killing three instantly.
Police who were escorting the bus repelled the militants who were strategically place in the bushes along the road.
