North Korea appears to be preparing for another missile test, with related signs seen at the Kusong test site, CNN reported Monday (local time).
Citing a U.S. defense official, CNN said the test of another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) or intermediate range missile would take place within six days.
“Transporter vehicles carrying ballistic missile launching equipment were seen arriving in Kusong, North Korea, on Friday,” CNN reported. “When such equipment is seen, a launch could occur within six days, which would coincide with the upcoming July 27 North Korean Holiday celebrating the armistice that ended the Korean War.”
Kusong has been the site of other missile tests, including the May test of a KN-17 intermediate range missile that traveled almost 800 kilometers before splashing down in waters east of the Korean Peninsula.
The last major North Korean missile test was on July 4, when Pyongyang launched what experts assessed to be an intercontinental ballistic missile.
